Rent-Ready Dog Certificate
For New Zealand dog owners who rent, or need to. An online assessment with a Clinical Animal Behaviourist, a certificate a landlord can verify, your dog's one-page CV, and the pet-consent request done right.
The law changed on 1 December 2025
A landlord can no longer say "no pets". They must answer your written request within 21 days and may refuse only on reasonable grounds: the place is unsuitable for the dog, a rule forbids it, the dog is likely to cause damage or disruption, or you will not accept a reasonable condition. They may ask for a pet bond of up to two weeks' rent.
Every one of those grounds is answered by evidence about your dog. That is what this gives you.

Not legal advice. The decision is the landlord's; this answers the grounds the Act lets them consider.
